What’s better than a new piece of furniture at Christmas? A surprise new piece of furniture at Christmas!

While the kids were away for 5 days before Christmas, I took the opportunity to build them to transform our tiny third bedroom into a games room for them (and for us too), complete with this custom media cabinet.

This is my first big cabinet build, using just plywood to get my head around joinery and complex techniques. It was a huge confidence booster, and I can’t wait to apply what I learned on this project to some new pieces.

I’ll giove myself more than five days, though!
